When does the LSE open in US Eastern Time?
Usually 3:00 a.m. Eastern, but for a few weeks each March and autumn the US and UK change clocks on different dates and the open shifts to 4:00 a.m. The live conversion above is always current.
Does the LSE close for lunch?
No. The London Stock Exchange trades continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no midday break, unlike Tokyo or Hong Kong.
Is the LSE open on UK bank holidays?
No. The exchange closes on all UK bank holidays, about eight days a year, and closes early at 12:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
