Is the NYSE open today?
The NYSE is open every weekday except ten US market holidays a year. It also closes early, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, on the day after Thanksgiving and on Christmas Eve. The live status above shows today's answer.
What are NYSE pre-market hours?
Pre-market trading runs 4:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Orders execute on electronic venues such as NYSE Arca rather than the NYSE core book, mostly as limit orders, and liquidity is much thinner than in the regular session.
Does the NYSE close for lunch?
No. The NYSE trades continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Lunch breaks are a feature of Asian exchanges such as Tokyo and Hong Kong; US markets trade straight through the day.
